How to set the player model in Counter-Strike 1.6 — 1

Installing custom player models in Counter-Strike 1.6 is a great way to add variety to the game. Here are simple instructions on how to do this:

  1. Find and download the player model in the format .mdl, which you like, you can find them on our website in the section Player models. Usually such models are available in archives.

  2. Using a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip, extract the archive. You should have the files .mdl.

  3. Replace the files in the player folder, which is located in the following directory:

  5. For Steam version: Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Half-Life/cstrike/models/player
